FamilyOS addresses a workflow that generic tools are rarely designed for: private family financial operations and community coordination with real roles and rules.
Context
FamilyOS is a private system for a family cooperative bank, loans, installments, queues, events, memories and role-based administration. It requires a real data and permission model rather than a collection of forms.
Challenge
Members need a simple experience, while managers and accountants need financial controls, traceable changes and precise workflows. Financial and family data also needs disciplined access.
System
- Loan requests and personal status for members.
- Installment and financial-policy management for authorized roles.
- Events, hosts, memories and albums as a social layer.
- System-issued accounts and secure sessions.
- An architecture that can grow to larger membership.
Design decisions
Permissions before UI
Authorization is part of the product architecture, not something solved by hiding buttons later.
Financial and social domains
The two domains remain separate enough to evolve safely while still sharing identity and navigation.
Mobile-first operations
Most routine use needs to remain clear on a phone, so key workflows are composed for small screens.
Status
FamilyOS is still being developed and refined around real family workflows and role requirements.
